PWP completes warehouse, IT and security M & E contract for high street and internet retailer Maplin

PWP Building Services has recently completed a £500,000 Design and Build contract to supply and install Mechanical and Electrical Services for electronic goods high street and internet retailer Maplin’s new 175,000ft² (15,785m²) Rotherham warehouse. The project includes all lighting, heating and power systems for both the warehouse and offices, as well as the latest CCTV and security systems, air conditioning for the company’s computer suite, and a new generator.

The 8,000 pallet position project will finally be fitted out with pallet racking and other materials handling systems, and a full fire control sprinkler system.

PWP Building Services has extensive experience in understanding the specific Mechanical and Electrical Services requirements of warehousing and distribution centres, having completed projects such as warehouses for L’Oréal in Manchester and Nottingham, a unit for New Look in Newcastle-under-Lyme and a high bay distribution centre for Kelloggs.
