PWP have recently completed four individual projects to provide
mechanical and electrical services for new mezzanine floors, providing
additional space for Marks and Spencer PLC distribution facilities
in Warrington and Sheffield . The £3.4m design and installation
contracts included automatic lighting, power installations, fire
alarms, CCTV, air induction heating and ventilation. The installations
were carried out by PWP under tight programme restraints, working
within active facilities.
PWP also secured a separate contract to replace all existing mezzanine
lighting at the Hardwick facility with some 6,000 individual automatically
controlled luminaires, greatly reducing the energy usage and peak
demand.
All the lighting being designed specifically to reduce the client's
carbon footprint per m2 of warehousing in line with it's “Plan A” commitment.
